mp4 – HTC Desire Z – Appealing Features In A Great Looking Handset by Chris Westley
The HTC Desire Z is a newly released smartphone from the manufacturer, offering an impressive range of features geared towards both entertainment and practicality.
The combination of a touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard gives the handset comprehensive appeal. Those who send a lot of text messages and email are sure to appreciate the efficiency of the keyboard, whilst retaining the functionality of touchscreen navigation.
The handset itself measures 119x 60.4 mm wide, whilst remaining relatively slimline and lightweight at 14.2 mm and 180 grams, impressive for a handset which incorporates a separate keyboard unit. A superb S-LCD capacitive touchscreen provides the ability to display up to 16M colours within its pixel resolution of 480x 800. The dimensions of this screen are 3.7 inches making it ideal for viewing pictures and videos with high quality display of the on screen content. Additional features of the screen include accelerometer and proximity sensors, whilst an optical trackpad and touch sensitive controls aid navigation of the highly customisable HTC Sense user interface.
In order to alert users to incoming calls and messages, the HTC Desire Z makes use of vibration and ring functions, with the added bonus of being able to assign MP3 files as ringtones, meaning users can hear the son of their choice whenever the phone rings. Handsfree communication is achieved by a speakerphone system along with a 3.5 mm audio jack which can accommodate both handsfree headsets and earphones for listening to music via the internal media player.
Plenty of internal storage is provided for keeping music files and video etc whilst additional storage of up to 32 GB can be attained by utilising the micro SD card slot. This is sure to prove ample for the needs of most users as this amount of storage can store a huge number of files.
Surfing the internet is a breeze with the HTC Desire Z. Thanks to its HSDPA connection (in areas covered by 3G) and Wi-Fi connectivity, users can enjoy a fast browsing experience which is enhanced by HTC’s web browsing software. This has some neat little features, such as automatic resizing and repositioning of text when zooming in.
A handy 5 megapixel digital camera is built in, providing a great tool for those who like to take spontaneous snapshots when out and about, as well as those who take their photography a little more seriously. This is thanks to a comprehensive package of image enhancing features, including autofocus, LED flash, face detection and geo-tagging which functions thanks to GPS.
A number of entertainment features are included as standard, keeping users entertained for hours on end. These include an MP3/MP4 player for music and videos respectively, a stereo FM radio with RDS, and a selection of pre-installed games.
Whatever you are looking for in a new smartphone, the HTC Desire Z is worthy of a closer look, thanks to the winning combination of style and substance, with loads of impressive features under the hood.

Music – Food For The Senses
It won’t be an exaggeration if music is connoted as food for the senses. No matter what your mood is, you can enhance the spirits listening to your favorite tunes. The soothing effect as well as the active spirit that music creates is beyond compare. And manufacturers have come out with a plethora of options to your advantage. Whether you are at home, traveling on a bus, jogging or walking or flying by airways, you can luxuriate in your preferred tunes with mp3 mp4 players.
Listening to music has never been so simple! The mp3 player phenomenon started some eighteen years back. Initially it failed to hit the market up to expectation levels. As people became more and more aware about the concept and as prices went down and more advanced features were incorporated, mp3 players soon were in great demand. Later on mp4 players, advanced versions of mp3 players, are introduced. Both mp3 mp4 players are in great demand today. You can get the sleekest varieties representing countless brands. To get the best deal in terms of features and price, visit your favorite online shopping mall. You will get exactly what you want!
An mp3 player and an mp4 player are similar in most features. Compression technologies are incorporated in both the variants. Standard analogue audio tracks are converted into digital files from say a compact disc containing music tracks. The same can be played on the computer and in some advanced mobile phones. An mp4 player is more advanced than the mp3 player in the sense that the former enables the extension of files globally for the official format.
Mp4 players support all kinds of multimedia content including 2D and 3D animated graphics. These are available with in-built sound systems; you can enjoy the music setting the bass, treble, etc. to your preference. You can attach the gadget to your

TV, laptop, and computer. What more can you ask for when you can play the lower versions in this device! If you go for an advanced mp4 player, you will find a variety of tools and applications like PocketPC, Windows, Mac, Linux, etc. supporting it.
In short, you can deem the mp3 player as one specific type of audio format; an mp4 player being an advanced version is a container format. Whatever be the format, it is listening to the music that matters!

What is the best Avi to Mp4 converter for Ubuntu 10.04?
I'm just getting into Linux, Ubuntu to be exact and I was just wondering what Avi to Mp4 converter works with the new Ubuntu (10.04)? And which is better, if more than one? I use to do this easily in Win XP and I'm just hoping I can do it in Ubuntu.
Thanx
