How to open .mp4 in sony vegas pro 9.0?
Is there any way to do that? Every time I try it either doesn't load at all and gives me an error, or only loads the audio. One answer I did get before was to download quicktime/update to the latest version, but I am(made sure of it), and it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Plug-ins?

MPEG 4 files normally use MP4 extension. MPEG 4 with audio only normally has the M4A extension. This is the case particularly for unprotected content. The iTunes Plus tracks are unencrypted and make use of M4A extension consequently. You can also use this extension for audio book and podcast files that contain metadata like chapter markers, hyperlinks and images. However M4B is more commonly used in these cases. M4A audio files cannot bookmark. The raw MPEG 4 visual bit streams are normally M4V files; however they are sometimes used in MP4 format for video. The most common and non-standard use of the extension M4A is because of the popularity of Apple's iPhone, iPod and iTunes Store. The DSi from Nintendo can also play M4A. Sony's PSP can play the M4A files albeit with some modifications. MP4 can contain metadata as specified by the format standard and additionally they can contain Extensible Metadata Platform.
