I bought an mp4 player that supports USB. I have tried to download any tv or video programme, or even music. My problem is 'I don't know how, and what steps to take. Can some guide me?

Let's take a look at the differences between mp3 players and mp4 players. Mp3 players are specifically designed to do one thing, play digital music. Mp4 players are designed to do a few things, but mostly to playback mp4 video files. Its hard to compare the two when they are made for two entirely different things. So with that said, we will take a look at the differences between the two, rather then compare them.

Mp3 players are generally smaller, and use less power then mp4 players, simply because it only has to process and produce audio. Mp4 players are generally larger and use more power, because most have to decode the video, process it, and then display the video on a back lit screen, while playing the audio at the same time. Most mp3 players use only one small battery which can last for several hours, while your average mp4 player uses a few batteries, and sometimes even requires a lithium-ion rechargeable battery to power the workload.

Mp3 players also cost much less then mp4 players, since they only play music and therefore are much easier to manufacture. Mp4 players cost more because they are generally new and utilize a new technology. They also have many more parts and internal mechanism's. It is said that mp4 players are sometimes harder to use than mp3 players, but that is just opinion, and not suitable for someone to base their judgment on.

Both of these electronic devices serve a purpose. Both are quite different. One is the latest introduction to the market, the other, although not what you would consider old technology, still previous to the mp4. To form an opinion on these two electronic symbols of new wave technology, one must take into consideration what they are used for and how that applies to the general consumer. One might be better for one consumer and the other better for another. If they were crafted to perform the same task and fulfill the same expectations, then it would be much easier to examine. The next time you visit your favorite retail electronics location, check these two out and form your own opinion.
